    Thanks for posting that, Hal.

I entirely disagree with you about her “guilt.” She ran up to a car at a public event, where everyone is worked up although most are worked up in favor of the candidate who is appearing; still, it’s a free country and people who don’t support the candidate have a right to be there too; and she attempted to push a sign through a window. It went in about two inches before it was stopped, and they managed to wrest that sign away from that woman without needing to touch her to do it, at least at first. I see nothing to suggest that security taking her by the wrist or arm and saying, “Ma’am, I’m going to need you to come with me,” and then ejecting her, would not have sufficed.

An unarmed woman cannot come even close to deserving what they did, and rudeness should never be responded to by any person injuring you or stealing your liberty.

Yes its a free country, but you’re minimizing. She didn’t have the right to rush the guy and shove the sign in his face. It doesn’t matter whether it made it 2 inches in, or all the way in. What if she’d literally shoved it into his face? Further, I fall back on a previous observation–what would happen if someone rushed the President or any politician protected by Secret Service?
To top it off, you are forgetting something. They DID simply restrain her after the FIRST try to shove the sign in. She then got loose, ran around the car, and rushed Paul AGAIN. Would you not agree that someone that not only resists but then makes a SECOND attempt to get at the person has to be dealt with as a potential threat? Finally, when the person tried to wrestle her to the ground, she resisted. So lets sum this up: she REPEATEDLY rush at Paul, and REPEATEDLY resisted security. Whether its was Rand Paul, President Obama, or any other political figure in that situation, the takedown (NOT THE FOOT TO THE SHOULDER) was warranted.
One last thing. There was no way to know completely that she was unarmed until after she was detained.

Well I don’t even think the foot to the shoulder was all that bad. I mean lets see what could have happened. She rushes through actuall gets through pushes Paul. Someone cold coks her and lays her out in the parking lot. Then we would be saying” Well he is a man and there is never a reason for a man to hit a woman”

They restrained her. Maybe they whould have put her in a WWE sleeper move that Greg Gagne used to do.

I mean if this was a big guy would we be having this. From the initial reports i thought someone was stomping their feet on someones head.
